This
industry award covers employers throughout Australia in the general retail
industry and their employees i.e. clerical work done in a retail store or
showroom (if orders placed through showroom, retailers, department stores, stores
selling – furniture, household appliances, recreational/household/personal
goods, household equipment repairs.) Also covers labour hire business for
employees placed within a organisation of retail industry; check out operators,
sales assistants, stock hands, shelf stackers, door to door sales persons, back
office employees performing clerical work in a retail shop (showroom)
It does
not cover clerical employees in a retail head office (if no retail activities
are conducted at the office)
