The right to disconnect legislation came into effect for all National System Employees (except for small businesses) on 26 August 2024.

The provision will apply to small businesses from 26 August 2025.

This letter briefly explains what the right to disconnect is and what to do should if a dispute arises in the workplace in relation out of hours contact.
